INDIA — Sometimes you just want to go have a meal with your best friend — who happens to be a dog. A new restaurant in New Delhi has solved the problem of saying goodbye to those sad faces when you go out to grab a bite to eat.
The Puppychino Cafe is new restaurant in Hauz Khas area of New Delhi that offers a menu for humans and their four-legged best friends.
The idea for the cafe was born when cafe-owner Mallika Tandon got her dog, Simba.
“Whenever I used to go out, I used to feel very guilty leaving [him] behind at home all alone. So then I thought of opening a cafe where dogs could go out to hang out with their [owners] and play with other dogs as well,” Tandon told ANI News.
Humans can feast on Italian, Tex-Mex and Israeli cuisine while their dogs chow down on a meal from a customized menu.
When you’re done with your meal, or if your dog needs their appetite stimulated first, there is a dedicated play-space for the pooches to run around and get to know each other.
The Puppychino Cafe had a fabulous opening day and patrons were excited to have the opportunity to dine with their best friends.

“We can spend some time [and] walk around the market,” Ms Ishita, a customer, told Reuters. “It’s more going to be like a playhouse for the dogs. So a cafe-cum-playhouse, which is great.”
The cafe also offers birthday packages, leashes, collars, grooming tools and treats.

Love this idea. But the US believe dogs are dirty germ carrying creatures. My dog is by my side when I eat at home and I’m still alive and well
wow, India is doing this?!
