COrded poodles are not a result of lack of brushing. Please don’t encourage that. Cords are a style choice that takes a ton of work to make even, and prevent them from becoming very painful mats. Cording does take time and effort, to separate out the strands and make sure that they’re not pulling too close to the skin, and to be able to keep them clean and free of parasites. You do actually have to use a comb at the base of the hairs to keep the cords neat and safe for the dog’s skin.
