NEW JERSEY — Jon Stewart recently retired from his hosting duties on the Daily Show and left many fans wondering what his next project might be. Well, they don’t have to wonder anymore because it appears that the Stewarts have purchased farmlands in New Jersey to turn them into a sanctuary for rescued animals.
Stewart and his wife Tracey are well-known animal welfare advocates and have quite a large brood of their own. Along with their two children, the family has rescued four dogs, three rabbits, a parrot, fish, two pigs, two hamsters and two guinea pigs.

These animal loves work closely with Farm Sanctuary and some of the proceeds from Tracey’s upcoming book “Do Unto Animals” will be donated directly to their efforts. Farm Sanctuary confirmed the couple’s purchase of the property in a statement on their website.
