At the West Valley Animal Care Center in Phoenix, these two, cuddly creatures have found their forever home – together.
These two came to the shelter after they were found wandering the streets together. It is unknown whether they lived together before or if they had met up on their travels. Regardless, it was clear that they had been spending a lot of time together. The Chihuahua would always crawl up onto the Boxer’s shoulders while she was preparing to take a nap. It is, quite possibly, one of the cutest and heart-warming things you could ever see.
West Valley received them as strays but it didn’t take them long to see their bond. So, they even gave them names – Buster the Boxer and Little Miss the Chihuahua.
Since posting about the two on their Facebook Page, the photo of the pair had been viewed over 4,000 times and reached more than 261,000 people. Unfortunately, their owner has never come forward. After the allotted time came and went for they strays to be picked up by their owner, they were then put up for adoption. According to an information officer with the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, so many potential adopters came forward that the shelter held a drawing in order to pick their new owner. And she was ecstatic.
Sonya was in tears when she found out that she would be taking home Buster and Little Miss. She and her family from California will be picking up the loving duo on Tuesday so they can continue their lives together while being loved by a family.
