It’s a new way of keeping track of dog attacks. Much like a sex offender list, Minneapolis dangerous dog map, shows people which dogs are known offenders. All the dogs offenses are either dog to human bites or dog to animal bites.
The site posts an interactive map which includes the type of offense, the owners name, address and breed. The City of Minneapolis said it is to keep its residents safe but one thing is missing from the list: people.
It’s understandable if there are animals that are dangerous to community to have them mapped out but wouldn’t it also be beneficial to also map out those who are known animal abusers in the area? Such a thing has been proposed in other states but nothing on a large scale.
You can visit the dangerous dog site by clicking here.
Is the community being kept safe, or are dogs being victimized and owners privacy being violated? We want your thoughts!
