Marc Métral and his dog, Miss Wendy, appeared on Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) this past week and both the judges and the audience couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw what they could do. It seemed that Wendy’s mouth moved completely in sync with everything Marc said and even sang! The ventriloquist trick was enough to earn the duo a spot in the semi-finals, but some viewers have sent in complaints about possible animal abuse and how the performance was cruel to the dog.
The RSPCA has said that they will look into what specific methods Marc used to make Wendy’s mouth move and want to make sure she didn’t suffer any distress or was ever unable to breathe properly. Daily Mail has put up a photo of a theory of how Marc was making her mouth move by having her wear a fake snout that he remotely controlled:

Until the RSPCA completes its investigation, both Marc and BGT insist that no harm came to Wendy. BGT says that RSPCA guidelines were followed during the audition and performance and Simon Cowell was particularly adamant in saying that the dogs on the show get a chance to show their personalities and have a great time. Marc states that he’s been working with Wendy since she was a puppy and would never want her to be in distress. Watch the performance here and tell us what you think about it:
