It’s been a sad week for Anderson Cooper— his dog Molly died last Tuesday. The newsman shared the news on Instagram along with a photo to pay tribute to his 11-year-old Welsh Springer Spaniel. She was his “sweet dog.”
Cooper and Molly spent a lot of time together in New York. She also appeared on his daytime talk show, “Anderson,” back in 2011. It’s really heart wrenching to watch the dog, happy and wagging her tail and nuzzling up to her owner’s leg. Cooper puts on a huge smile and you can tell their connection is real.
“I’m totally a dog person,” the 48-year-old reporter said in a segment he did for ’60 Minutes’ in June. “I just really love dogs. I like other people’s dogs. I like dogs of all kinds. Pit bulls — I actually love pit bulls.”
We send our deepest condolences to Cooper and his family during this time.
