When these puppies were found left in a garbage can in the dead of a South Dakota winter, things seemed bleak. Thanks to rescuers and the Paroled Pups Program at the South Dakota State Penitentiary, inmates gave the dogs 24/7 care. Raised by prison inmates may not sound ideal but it’s a win win situation for inmates and the dogs.
After two months of care the dogs were brought to the humane society where they were adopted in a couple of hours!
