Coco the Rottweiler was diagnosed with bone cancer this past March. The veterinarian told her owners, Symon and Theresa that she only had a few weeks left. So, as most dog owners would do, they decided to make them the best weeks of her life. They wrote out a bucket list of things that they thought Coco would have the most fun doing and set out to start fulfilling each and every one of them. Coco spent a day at the beach, went through the drive-thru at McDonalds where she scored a Big Mac and ice cream cone (which she shared with Symon), visited the fire station, and was given rides in both a police squad car and the police helicopter!
For one of her last meals, she was treated to some delicious sushi that she was allowed to eat in the restaurant with her owners. Coco even got to meet a couple of local celebrities, including a chocolate Lab named Sage, who has gained fame by raising money for various charities, and TV super-vet Noel Fitzpatrick. Symon and Theresa hoped that she was having so much fun that she forgot she was even ill. They were incredibly thankful to everyone in their community for all of the support and participation in making Coco’s wishes come true. Coco passed peacefully in her home earlier this month with her humans by her side, but they will always have these amazing photos to remind them of her incredibly special last few weeks.
