If you have never read “Off The Leash” by Rupert Fawcett, you are really missing out! These comics are perfectly suited to make every dog owner chuckle, because let’s face it… you’ve been there. From overcrowding of beds, to life before and after dogs, and even poo bags, these comics place the dogs in a state of hilariously witty awareness, and very much in control of their human companions.
Rupert was born and raised in West London, where he still lives with his wife and three children. It wasn’t until 1989 that Mr. Fawcett became a cartoonist almost by accident, when he was doodling his first creation, a bald man who sported suspenders and carpet slippers he named “Fred.” It unfortunately took 80 rejection letters before he was given a spot in Midweek, a free magazine given out in the London Tube stations. After this his career took off with his first book deal and even a contract for Fred greeting cards.
Off The Leash is his latest hilarious creation centered around man’s best friend, and the first to be launched on Social Media platforms like Facebook. This wonderfully fresh comic tells it like it is. That in the relationship between us and our canine companions, we may not be in charge after all.
Be sure to check out the Off The Leash website for more of these fantastic comics, or like on Facebook for daily updates, and articles for all dog owners.
