Friday Harbor, WT – Battling with cancer is already an overwhelming struggle, but if in addition to that, you realize you got to the point where you need to make hard decisions – like finding a new forever home for your furry family, then it’s as hard as it gets. This is exactly what Kathleen Zuidema is dealing with right now.
On September 2014, she was diagnosed with late stage 4 lung cancer that was metastasized to her liver and brain. At the moment they gave her 6 months to live without treatment and a year with treatment. She chose to fight and year and a half later, she is still here and feeling amazingly well.
However, at the beginning of this month she received bad news about her diagnosis and she realized it was time for her to find her three dogs a home. And she turned to Facebook for that.

She wrote a heartbreaking post explaining her situation and asking someone to give the Aussie Possie – as she calls them, their new forever home.
“They are a package deal. It is a huge thing to ask of one person but the thought of them being separated is more than l can bear. They have always been together. They are extremely well trained and love to play ball as many have seen at the gravel pit. At home they are perfect roommates they sleep on my bed or one of theirs if they want”
They are three: Autumn Moon –11, Moka Luka – 4 and a half and Finnegan – 4. They have been with Kathleen 24/7 so she hopes to find someone who can be with them a lot.
“They are wonderful to be with, the love they give and joy that they bring me every day has been unbelievable”.
The reaction her post had was unbelievable. In just over a week, it was shared more than 31, 000 times and it may help her find the loving home her Aussie Possie deserves. If you want to help, share her story and help her words reach as many people as possible.
