We go to extreme lengths for our pets and that’s exactly what one woman in the UK has done.
When her Shiba Inu went missing during a beach walk Janice Bannister was heartbroken. The terrain where her dog Sylvia was lost is made up of dunes which makes it very difficult to walk or drive. That’s when Bannister decided to rent a helicopter.
After a sighting of Sylvia on a nearby beach, Bannister rented a helicopter from a local airport for roughly $1100 USD.
Sadly, Sylvia was located over the weekend, having drowned in the ocean. The Coast Guard went and got Sylvia out of the sea for her. They wrapped the dog in a blanket and presented to Bannister.
While devastated her owner has set up a memorial fund for Sylvia. “From Sylvia With Love” to benefit the Anglesey Coastguards via her Facebook page.
