Washington DC – Wednesday (Oct 22nd 2014) 7:15 PM – A man jumped the fence of the White House and was apprehended quickly by Secret Service officers (human and fuzzy). The man, identified as Dominic Adesanya was swiftly taken down by Secret Service dogs after he attempted to attack them. He can be seen kicking and punching at the dogs, however the dogs suffered only minor injuries and were treated at the vet for bruises following the arrest.
In the video he can be seen showing the officers he is unarmed. The dogs are then released on him. He is the seventh man this year to climb the White House fence and the second in five weeks.
Pictures from his instagram account show he is in exceptional shape. He claimed to be attending Stevenson University and participating in track. His instagram photos corroborate this, however his father was quick to dismiss it.
This was a big guy, but the dogs got him down in no time. It’s important to clarify that the dogs were not set on him until he showed that he was unarmed. The White House security recently came under scrutiny after a man got all the way into the East Room with a knife five weeks ago.
Rescue dogs work hard to protect us, they also show us that our furry friends are a lot smarter than we usually give them credit for. If a dog gets a funny feeling about something, you should listen. Most service dogs retire after 6-8 years and have tons of love left to give. Next time you are thinking about bringing in a new furry family member, consider a retired service dog. They trust them to protect the President.
