FERGUSON, Mo. — A 2-week-old puppy was discovered in a clothing donation bin yesterday outside of a Walmart in Missouri. The tiny dog was found beneath pounds of donated items and was only discovered because of a tiny squeaking noise he made, that the volunteer thought was from a toy.
Shaun Derienzo discovered the adorable brown and white puppy while collecting items from the drop box, that is usually only cleaned out once a week.
“Me and my coworker, we opened up the bin, and were cleaning out the clothes and we heard a little bit of a squeak,” Derienzo told Fox2Now. “Just like normal, we thought it was a kid’s toy making some squeaking noise in the bin.”
Turns out that the squeak wasn’t a toy.
“The sweatshirt started moving and out comes a little baby Pit Bull,” Derienzo said. “It was crazy. It was weird, unbelievable.”
The donations were intended for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization whose mission statement is to “provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.”
This time they took on the four-legged Pit Bull puppy, giving him a relationship that has definitely changed his life for the better.
The little puppy was taken to The Paw Patch Place immediately and has already been adopted and found its forever home.
