Freshpet is so confident that their dog food is good, they fed it to a handful of people. They took the dog food and cooked it into meatballs, tacos, and a burger.
The results were mixed. Most of them, while they were eating, really enjoyed it. One young man says, “the meat in here is really good,” and another little girl says, “the chicken tacos are really good and it gives you that tropical taste.”
When the chef tells them the secret ingredient is dog food, they are all pretty surprised and a lot of them let out nervous laughs. One little boy even says “ew.” One older gentleman even says, “I was going to say this tasted like dog food but I didn’t want anyone to know I’d eaten dog food.”
We’re not really sure what to think of this. Although most of the participants said the food was tasty, is it really fair to serve people dog food without them knowing?
