With Easter right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about baskets for the kids. Some of you may think about your actual offspring, but most of you are probably thinking about your dog. While most kids dream about receiving an Easter basket filled with chocolate bunnies and jelly beans, your dog may be thinking of other treats. Listed below are ideas on how to put together the perfect Easter basket for your dog.
Does your dog have that one toy that they love so much it’s starting to fall apart? Buy your dog a new version of their favorite toy. Other toys that can be bought include a kong, which is perfect for stuffing treats inside, or a bunny shaped toy. A new ball for playing catch with or even a Frisbee makes great basket stuffers.
You can fill several Easter eggs with some of your dog’s favorite treats. Keep a close eye on your dog to make sure he doesn’t eat all of the treats in one sitting. Other treat ideas can include homemade dog treats shaped like Easter bunnies and eggs, or even a new rawhide bone.
If your dog has outgrown his collar or you just want him to sport something different, a new collar will do the trick. And you can get him a matching leash, especially if he’s chewed so much on his current leash to the point where it’s no longer usable.
No matter what goodies you put in the basket, your dog is sure to love it. If you happen to use the fake grass to fill the bottom of the basket, keep a close eye on your dog so he doesn’t ingest it accidentally.
