Last week a video was posted on viral video site LiveLeak.com of a 14-month-old Boxer left in a hot car while his owners were reportedly shopped inside of an Ikea in England.
In the video, the animal is seen panting heavily and lying absolutely exhausted in the vehicle. The Boxer, named Fidji, was in the car for four hours until a passerby decided to smash the window and rescue the dog. A policeman then arrived on scene to break the window and unlock the vehicle to get the Boxer out of the car. Someone else poured water on Fidji to help cool him down.
After being rescued, the puppy died at 8 p.m. the same day from internal bleeding. We found this video to be too distressing for us and did not want to add it into our article. We are really upset that this keeps happening— will people never learn that leaving your dog in a hot car is never OK?
