J.R. Nicholson, 85, was taken to the hospital in an ambulance when he complained that he was feeling dizzy. Nicholson thought his newly adopted beagle, Buddy, would be left back at the ranch. However, after traveling for approximately 20 miles, motorists flagged down the ambulance to tell paramedics that they had an unexpected passenger who had hitched a ride with them.
When they looked outside the ambulance, they saw Buddy, hanging on to the side. He was perched on a small side step of the ambulance refusing to leave his owner.
