Brandon was born with an incredibly rare condition, so rare that there is currently no established name for it. He has very little use of his legs, and limited use of his arms. Brandon doesn’t let anything stop him though, he has a service dog named Rona that’s smarter than most people, he’s a motivational speaker and is getting married in June. He’s a busy guy.
Rona can perform an astounding amount of tasks, she can make the bed, she picks things up, reach things, grab food from the freezer and even fetch the remote. It might be easier to list the things she can’t do.
She also accompanies Scott at his speeches, where he talks about the dangers of the fake service dog trend and how it damages people’s respect for those with legitimate reasons for service dogs.
Brandon has a custom van that Rona accompanies him in, she rides in the back seat while Brandon drives with a special device. Brandon is remarkably positive, and his story is testament to the life changing power of service dogs everywhere.
