BOSTON — Having a dog from puppyhood to adulthood and being there for their entire lifespan can often feel like a fleeting moment in time after they have passed away. For photographer Amanda Jones, she felt that way and because of this, it was important for her to capture the essence of a dog’s entire life and how they change over time through photos.

Jones, who has been working with animals for over 20 years, has captured plenty of footage of various dogs at different stages in their life. Eventually the experience of working with these dogs at different ages inspired her latest project, “Dog Years: Faithful Friends Then And Now.”
The book, which is now available to the public, features a stunning collection of dogs at their youngest to when they are grey and old. In addition to the photographs, she also included the dog’s profile and a sweet testimonial from the dog’s owner. Jones’ very own Dachshund Lily was also photographed for the book who acted as a huge inspiration for the project to come into fruition.
