Figo the amazing hero guide dog who saved his owner last week continues to improve at Middlebranch Veterinary. The team has been really great about providing updates on their Facebook page and I just keep waiting for the day when we get to see Figo and Audrey finally reunited! In the meanwhile, Figo had his first laser treatment to help promote healing in his leg.
Kirsten Bellhouse, who is a veterinary technician with Visiting Veterinary Practice of Westchester, performed the procedure and Figo has been resting up since then. It was also revealed that an anonymous donor stepped up to cover all of Figo’s veterinary costs, so he is getting all of the special care he needs without worry to Audrey. His story has reached the other side of the globe, with friends and well-wishers from all over sending him sweet gifts and letters of praise for his heroism.
But, what Figo wants most is to see his beloved Audrey again. He took time out of his busy recovery to send her some beautiful flowers and a big card, just so she knows he’s thinking of her! The best part is that the flowers are even shaped like dogs!
Here’s to a continued speedy recovery for both Figo and Audrey! As soon as there’s news on the reunion, we will let you know!
