Riley is one really cute Parson Russell Terrier taking over Instagram right now. He’s got 149K followers and it’s all thanks to his owner Chaity I— she says on her website that Riley is unusually calm for his breed. He also loves the outdoors, parks and socializing.
On her blog about Riley, Chaity I works on spreading the message of good health for both humans and pets. Plus, her photos of Riley are absolutely adorable.
We went out and asked Chaity I to answer the Proust Questionnaire, from Riley’s point of view. The name of the questionnaire comes from the responses given by French writer Marcel Proust and it’s been answered by many, like David Bowie, Jane Goodall and Louis C.K.
Would you answer these questions? Let us know!

Like most humans, I am my happiest when surrounded by puppies to play with.

My greatest fear is the Devil, the Dirt Devil vacuum to be precise.
3) Which living dog do you most admire?
Our neighbor Minnie is a Pug-Zu and she has a lot of qualities I admire. She has an underbite. People think she’s unpretty but I love her independence. She’s beautiful. She’s so soft and kids love her. She doesn’t tolerate nonsense from people or other dogs and she walks with confidence.
4) What is the trait you most deplore in yourself as a dog?
I am obsessed with skateboarders and some cyclists. Every part of me aches to chase them. I really must find my zen instead of expressing myself, oh so loudly!

I don’t like dogs who steal my toys. I don’t mind sharing but if you run away with my ball, I’ll just sit and stare at you disapprovingly.
6) What is your favorite meal?
When my mom cooks I usually ignore her, but the minute I sense she’s peeling carrots I’ll quietly sit by her side. She always gives me a piece and it makes my day!
7) What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Our local pet shop has a giant teddy bear displayed on the window. Every time I pass by I stop to express my love for her. She and I need some serious quality time together.

I’d love the ability to fly. Some birds escape my touch and I just want to be friends with them. Maybe if I flew like them, they’d play with me.
9) If you could change one thing about your human family, what would it be?
I wish my mom and grandpa would take me to the lake more often. I like to swim with the ducks.
10) What do you consider your greatest achievement?
When my mom and I take photos to share on our gallery, people say we inspire them and bring a smile everyday. There’s nothing more rewarding than making strangers smile across the world.
11) If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, who or what would you choose?
I would come back as a bird, or a plane. I jump so high sometimes I feel like I was meant to fly.

15) What is it that you most dislike about being a dog?
Sometimes I like people so much I want to shower them with kisses but not everyone appreciates a dog’s tongue.
16) What is your motto?
Be honest with yourself and admit when you are wrong. It’s only by learning from our mistakes do we grow.
