Imagine this – you’re just settling into your seat on the train, ready for the ride to work when you feel something at your side. You look over and sitting next to you is your dog…who you left at home not too long ago. If you’re Thomas McCormack, this was your reality this past week! Paddy, his Labrador and Collie mix, decided he wanted to figure out where his human kept going every morning and sneakily followed him out – Thomas didn’t even notice him until he plopped down on the seat next to him.
Thomas couldn’t figure out how Paddy was possibly getting over the six-foot-tall fence in their backyard, so he started talking to the neighbors who had seen the pup’s daring feat. It turns out that Paddy had figured out that the trampoline would be a great way to get over the fence when he played with Thomas’ son on it. Thomas wondered how many times Paddy had been out, but hadn’t successfully found him until that particular day. He knew Paddy was quite smart and clever, but he never imagined this! Thomas decided to film Paddy’s adventures, so he could share it with everyone, before moving the trampoline far enough away from the fence. I’m sure Paddy will miss his sneaky outings, but he’s much safer this way, which is how his family likes him.
