Near the San Fernando Valley in California, a dog was spotted by several people being swept away down the Los Angeles River. The fire company was called and quick to respond, calling in a helicopter rescue unit. Once the firefighter reached the water, he swam to the dog and the two were lifted to safety. I was so relieved to see that both of them were okay! The firefighters nicknamed him “Lucky,” but efforts are underway to track down his owners. Watch this amazing rescue here:
