Early this morning, a dog was found with an arrow going throw his leg and tail in Leslie County, KY. Such an injury required complex and immediate care, so caring individuals sprang into action and the dog was referred to the Arrow Fund, which provides medical care for mistreated animals and then helps prosecute the abusers. Volunteers with the organization answered the call to go pick up the dog and then transport him to Louisville, KY for treatment at the Blue Pearl Veterinary Clinic.
The dog has been nicknamed “Robin Hood” and is expected to make a full recovery thanks to the thoughtfulness and quick thinking of volunteers in the area.
