Eldad Hagar and Hope for Paws have made yet another incredible rescue. This time, they received a call from a concerned neighbor who had watched a dog be tied to a tree for ten years. They had called the police, and a Sheriff arrived demanding that the owners bring the dog inside.
However, the concerned neighbor knew this wasn’t a solution and begged them to surrender the Newfoundland named Turk to Hope for Paws. When they finally agreed, Hagar drove out to his house and transported him to a veterinary hospital. Hagar described Turk as smelling so bad that he could barely breathe on the car ride there.

- Smiling now!
- A little love goes so far
- No camera shyness here!
- What a good boy!
- Finally getting the life he deserves
At the hospital, it took over four hours to clean Turk up from his ten years of accumulated filth and they found a painful tumor that needed to be removed. Happily, they began medical treatment and Turk became a happy guy.
Hope for Paws paired with Frosted Faces Foundation, who found him a forever foster. Turk will now have the life he deserves, but it should never be okay for a dog to suffer such a horrible living situation. If you see something like this happening, never be afraid to speak up, because beautiful dogs like Turk cannot speak for themselves.
