Who needs a people date to celebrate on the 14th? Here are some fun ways you can show your fuzzy best friend just how much you love them.
1. Make a date.
Take your buddy out for a special walk! Take him to his favourite place in the park, or maybe stop by a store that allows dogs inside and grab a cup of coffee with someone else on a doggy date.
2. Special treats.
Many bakeries are starting to include doggy biscuits on their menus, or even have entire stores dedicated to luxury doggy deserts! They can be expensive, though, so don’t make it a habit of splurging too often on your pup!
3. Doggy Daycare.
Okay, this one isn’t really WITH your dog, moreso FOR your dog. If you can’t be around on Valentine’s Day, there will certainly be a reputable Doggy Daycare close by. These places are popping up all over the place, and totally pamper your pooch like they’re spending the day at a 5 star hotel!
4. Take a vacation.
Or maybe you’re going away WITH your dog…it’s a great idea! You can both explore new places, get tons of exercise, and bond over new experiences together.
5. Spoil ’em rotten.
Toys, grooming salons, all the treats they could imagine, maybe a fancy new sweater! Retail therapy is good for all of us , you know.
6. Chaperone a doggy date!
Set your puppy up with a neighbourhood stranger and bring them to a play date! They might just meet their (other) best friend! 😉
