In California, this adorable 8-year-old Chihuahua mix with droopy eyes was deemed “too ugly to adopt.” Personally, I don’t see what they’re talking about at all, because I think he’s adorable. And, luckily, a 14-year-old girl named Emily that was visiting the shelter thought the same thing and contacted a rescue organization in Washington called PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society).
His rescuers say that he is great with other dogs and is trusting of humans, but that you have take a little bit of time with him and let him get there. The PAWS rescuers have nicknamed him “Emilio,” after the girl that changed his fortune and will be fostering him until he finds his forever home. Starting Monday, he will be ready for adoption.
