Maybe when you’re imagining heavy metal music, you think screaming guys with long hair and hundreds of tattoos, thrashing their heads with shrieking guitars. You also might think skulls, pentagrams and blood.
But what about their cats?
“Metal Cats” is the brainchild of Alexandra Crockett and it combines two opposing subjects: hardcore metal musicians and their adorable cats.
Musicians and fans of metal music often get a bad rep because of their dark, gruff and scary looks. This book shows that even metal musicians have a soft and fluffy side.
Crockett explains that one of her ambitions of for the book was to, “shed light on the humanity within heavy metal and to dispel the negative stereotypes associated with its participants.”
You can feed Crockett’s book on Amazon and a portion of the proceeds from the book’s sales will go to no kill animal shelters in cities along the West Coast.
