In a video that has gone viral, a stray cat can be seen laying on a veterinary table with tears streaming down his cheeks. The emotional video has now left viewers wondering if the cat is simply crying as a response to having irritants in its eyes, or if it’s something deeper.
PhD candidate Mikel Delgado admits that cats don’t produce tears as an emotional reaction, like humans do. Nevertheless, the video is still warming the hearts of many online. Animals have proven, time and time again, their capacity to feel for one another and their humans, so although these tears may not be related to the feelings of gratitude, it is still a very touching image.
