Stella McCartney is an English fashion designer that last week introduced her Autumn collection and guess what cat lovers? It’s full of cats! But don’t worry, it may be cat full, but it’s fur-free. That’s right, it is 100% animal friendly.
We wouldn’t expect less from the daughter of animal rights activist, Linda McCartney and ex-Beatle Paul McCartney.
But this is her collection, with her creativity and her inspiration and this year, cats were her theme. She used them as patterns for coats, as hand-draw prints on jacquards and even as models. She has tiger bombers, leopard pattern coats, jackets and skirts, cat-print blouses and a silk dress.
Her cats of choice included a Persian, a Ragdoll and a Sphynx that came from the London modelling agency Pet London.
Her collection was presented on Sunday, January 10th in LA. She chose Amoeba Music, the Hollywood record store, to host the event. And because it was after the Golden Globes, the event was full of celebrities.
It was a huge success and not only because was full of cats, but because of Stella McCartney’s talent. The collection being cat-themed, was just a plus.
Check out her full collection and tell us what you think.
