Rademenes keeps a watchful eye on his patient.
A kind-hearted cat is making a huge difference to sick and injured animals at a shelter in Bydgoszcz, Poland. According to Polish news channel TVN Meteo, Rademenes was brought to the shelter suffering from an inflamed respiratory tract. His owners feared the two-month old kitten was too ill to survive and would have to be put down.
Luck was obviously on the side of this sweet little moggy however, as veterinarian Lucyna Kuziel-Zawalich recognized his fighting spirit. She lovingly nursed him back to health and now he is sharing that love with the shelter’s patients. Although not medically trained, Rademenes is skilled at giving healing hugs, cuddle cures, snuggle therapy, ear nuzzles and the occasional kiss. His heart is so big there is room for everyone – even dogs!
During his recovery Lucyna developed a strong attachment to Rademenes and decided to adopt him. This means he can continue with his important work as a full time comfort giver and he has even become a mascot for the shelter. Just looking at the photos of Rademenes in action it is clear this little black cat with the big green eyes and fuzzy paws has the healing touch.
Healing Hugs are being administered.
