CHESHIRE, England — Dog owner Tina Cumberlidge, is mourning the loss of her Border Collie Victor, after a man stole a car that Victor and her other dog, Lottie were sleeping in. Cumberlidge was staying at the Elm Beds Caravan Park with her husband, when she left her dogs in her BMW to sleep on Easter Sunday. However, when she woke up in the morning the car was gone, along with her two dogs.
Cumberlidge posted a plea on Facebook hoping for the return of Victor and the West Highland Terrier but unfortunately only one of the dogs found its way home. Although the Facebook post was shared over 1,000 times, Cumberlidge soon received a call saying that the body of Victor was discovered by the train tracks. Based on the evidence, it had seemed as though the car thief had dumped both Lottie and Victor on the side of the road.
While, Lottie had remained safe while wandering around two miles away from the caravan park, Victor was not as lucky. The Border Collie was struck and killed by an oncoming train. The Cumberlidge family is heartbroken at the loss of their 12-year-old pet. Authorities have yet to locate the person or persons responsible for taking the 3series black BMW Tourer.
