White Bear Lake, Minnesota – If you ever wondered how the world looks from your dog’s perspective when interacting with other dogs, these pictures will show you and leave you wanting more. The best part is they were actually taken by a dog!
Tula is 4-year old rescue dog who besides being an internet sensation as a photographer, she also works as a therapy dog at a local Children’s Hospital. She was found at the side of the road in a birdcage with her siblings and rescued by Second Chance Animal Rescue before being adopted by Susie Kixmoeller, 17 and her parents.
It was Susie’s idea to turn Tula into a photographer. Being interested herself in photography and fascinated by interaction between dogs when they play, she realized she couldn’t get the shots she wanted because the dogs were easily distracted by her presence. To achieve some authenticity, she strapped a GoPro Hero4 Session camera to Tula’s harness to see if she could be the one getting the shots.
The result is unbelievable! You see dogs just being dogs; happy, free and playful surrounded by other dogs being the same way. You really get to see the world from their perspective and it’s nothing but amazing.
Susie created for Tula an Instagram account and opened a Facebook page and her popularity just took off. Now she has over 6,000 followers on Instagram and the number is quickly growing. You should definitely check it out.
The family is considering to turn the pictures into a book and help promote adoption, rescue and support to the local shelters. In the meantime, take a look at some of her amazing pictures!
