LINCOLNSHIRE, England —When authorities burst into a home on April 15th, they were shocked to discover two dead bodies and a very frightened dog peering at them through her crate. The bodies belonged to cafeteria-lady, Liz Edwards and her daughter Katie and it appeared that they were killed in cold blood. As authorities dressed in fluorescent jackets searched the property for clues, the puppy Bebe was left cowering in her crate uncertain of what her future would now hold. Only one thing was for sure, that the eight-month-old pup was left traumatized by the incident, as she developed a fear of anything fluorescent.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that the mother and daughter were killed by two fourteen-year-olds who have now been taken into custody and charged with murder, as they await they’re trial. As for Bebe, she was handed over to a dog warden before the rescue group the Three Counties Dog Rescue Charity took her in. The group reveals that the mix-breed puppy was utterly bewildered as she was handed over to them and that she would need rehabilitation before being put up for adoption.
Bebe was placed into a foster home, where she has slowly started to come out of her shell. The rescue group expressed on their site that, “Bebe has suffered a traumatic event and because of this she is not behaving like the 8 month old puppy she should. This isn’t worrying us because already after a few days in foster care with lots of love and cuddles she is coming out of herself and starting to play. We expect this only to improve.” Bebe is still currently under assessment but she will be ready for a forever home soon.
