NEW YORK — Toast, the King Charles Cavalier, who first shot to fame on Instagram in part due to her floppy tongue, is now officially a model. Toast was rescued from a North Carolina puppy mill in 2011, when she was just six years old. Now the ten year old is living out her senior years in luxury and has recently posed for her very first photo-book in the Hamptons.
The book titled, “ToastHampton: How to Summer in Style” will be released on May 24th 2016. Part of the proceeds from the coffee-table book will go to the organization ‘Friends of Finn.’ Friends of Finn is a group aiming to end puppy mills across the United States by spreading awareness. Toast is considered an advocate for the cause and shares her views with her 350, 000 Instagram followers.
From a puppy mill dog used for breeding, to the streets of Manhattan, Toast has come a long way. In addition to the book, Toast already has her own merchandise line with shirts and tote bags, and is building somewhat of an empire for herself. Her owner Josh “The Fat Jew” Ostrovsky, is also famous in his own right with over 8.1 million followers on Instagram.
