BATON ROUGE, La. — A heroic man has rescued a woman and her dog from the dangerous Louisiana flood waters on Saturday. Chilling video footage captured David Phung diving into the murky brown water and pulling the roof off the woman’s convertible to save her. Phung then disappears below the water to pull the woman out, who then urges him to rescue her dog.

Phung plunges below the waters surface but then gasps, “I can’t get the dog.” While an onlooker from a boat yells out, “I think she’s gone.” To which the shocked female responds, “No, she better not be.” Phung then dives into the water once more and this time manages to retrieve the little, white dog, which is virtually unharmed.
