THAILAND — A group of Thai students have created an automated dog washing machine to make grooming a whole lot easier for everyone. The machine was first unveiled in January but the video has only been released to the public this week. The video shows a Poodle named Chiang Mai demonstrating just how the machine works as he steps inside of it.
Chiang Mai’s entire body goes inside of the contraption, with the exception of his head, which sticks out at the end. During the demonstration a woman pets Chiang Mai’s head to keep him comfortable while the machine begins to work its magic. Inside of the machine, it is made of PVC piping and motorized brushes, which run along the dogs body to achieve a thorough clean. The brushes move back and forth from the dogs legs to its bottom as water rushes out from the PVC pipes.
While an automated machine such as this one could make grooming a smoother process, some people are questioning how it may affect their dog. One critic stated that his dog would be terrified from a machine like that. Would you let an automated machine groom your dog? Watch the demonstration in the video below.
