A 2-year-old cat who bears a striking resemblance to Count Dracula with his one large eye and extra large fangs, has been rescued from euthanasia and re-homed. The previous owner of the Persian cat wanted to put him down, when a couple fell in love with him at a local veterinarian and saved him. Daya Hall-Stratton and her boyfriend Ethan, reveal that they wanted Fang right away despite his health concerns.

Stratton fell in love with Fang immediately.

Fang arrived at the veterinarian with a Feline Lower Urinary Tract disease (FLUTD) and an eye infection that was caused by feline herpes virus. The infection led to his eye being removed and the cat was also in need of a home with no other pets. Fortunately, Stratton’s home was the perfect fit, being animal-free and the woman was ready to nurse Fang back to health. Fang went home with his new owner and the pair have never looked back.

His characteristic fangs are the result of an underbite
Fang’s unusual appearance has won many hearts on Reddit and the cat continues to impress Stratton’s friends. As it turns out, his fangs are as a result of an underbite. Although, the cat may have recurring flare ups of FLUTD, Stratton says that she has put him on a special diet and is prepared to deal with it in the future. She also acknowledges, “Fang is a very social and sweet cat. He likes to be near us and a bit higher than us, like the back of the couch…He’ll sleep on our pillows or at our feet at night.”
