VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Actress Jennifer Beals, who is known for her breakout role in the iconic 80’s film Flashdance, is in Vancouver shooting her current television drama, Proof. She was confronted by a pedestrian in West Vancouver today for leaving her dog insider her car on Marine Drive.
The passerby approached Beals as she was getting into her car. Beals only responded by saying “it’s fine in Dunbar” to leave your dog in a car and said “thank you.”
Marcie Moriarty of the BC SPCA told Global News that she was perplexed by Beals’ response, saying “the sun shines in Dunbar just as much as it shines everywhere else.”
“In this temperature, I don’t think that would necessarily create the type of cooling effect that would ever be sufficient,” Moriarty added.
Beals did not respond to a request to comment from Global News.
