LOS ANGELES — Three-year-old Tucker may look just like a bat due to a rare condition, but that hasn’t stopped him from finding a forever home. Despite having “MPS VI, a mucopolysaccharide disease that causes deformities and various medical issues,” Tucker’s new owner happily adopted him from a local shelter. Now, the albino Chihuahua-Miniature Poodle/Miniature Pinscher mix lives with his new mom and acts very grateful for his second chance.
Tucker’s condition results in him having deformed front paws and cloudiness in his eyes, but that hasn’t gotten in the way of him living his life to the fullest. The dog loves spending time with other dogs and playing with his mom outdoors, even if that means he has to wear special goggles to see properly. The deformity affecting his front paws also makes it difficult to walk properly, but Tucker has adjusted over time.
Online people compare Tucker’s appearance to a bat. With his light fur colour, redness around the eyes and crooked teeth, he looks almost identical to the night creature. Tucker’s owner reveals that although he may look very different, he is one of the happiest dogs around. It seems that the internet would agree, as he has amassed over 46, 000 followers.
