CENTRAL TABLELANDS, Australia — Pommy the Bulldog was only 6-months-old when he jumped on a skateboard for the first time and surprised his owners with his impressive skills. The dog who has never been trained to skateboard, was a natural from the get-go and now three months later Pommy’s skills have only gotten better.
Owners, Stacey and Mick Whittaker, reveal that Pommy always had a fascination with their daughter Charlotte’s skateboard, but then one day he took it to the next level when he jumped on. Stacey says, “Our youngest daughter Charlotte is a bit of a skater and she got the skateboard out and he just hopped on it and took off.” Now as Pommy is growing older, his love for boarding is growing too, as he has taught himself to speed up while on the board.
When Pommy rides the skateboard, he uses his his front and back paws to push himself forward faster. While Pommy is otherwise known to be a rather lazy dog, his skateboard brings out a different side of him. According to his owners, the minute he sees the board and it is being lowered to the ground, he prepares to jump on. Check out the adorable video of Pommy below.
